Salivate Fidai Recreates Vincent van Gogh Paintings on Matchboxes
Russian artist Salavate Fidai’sfascination with miniature creations surpass the realms of creativity and masterpiece into innovation. Fidai’s love and passion for his favorite painter Vincent van Gogh has been a perpetual theme present in his work; he has already recreated Van Gogh’s most famous paintings on pumpkin seeds (previously featured here). As his continuous ode to Van Gogh, Fidai has also recreated the legendary’s artists masterpieces on matchboxes.
With a fine brush and acrylic paint, the artist has captured the magic of Van Gogh on a small scale. He captures Van Gogh’s anxiety, movement, passion and technique on an unorthodox canvas. Silvait has curated each painting with extreme calculation, he has exclusively replicated Van Gogh’s best work, including Starry Night, Café Terrace at Night, At Eternity’s Gate, and Bedroom in Arles.
